(KNSI) – CentraCare M Physicians Orthopedics is expanding its service by adding new walk-in care options to provide faster, more convenient access to specialized treatment for patients with bone, muscle, and joint injuries.
The healthcare system is now offering two key services with Orthopedic Urgent Care available at CentraCare Plaza, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additionally, Orthopedic Walk-In Care has launched at the CentraCare – Monticello Specialty Clinic, operating Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
“We are excited to offer our Orthopedic Urgent Care for patients with muscle, bone, or joint injuries who need to be seen quickly,” said Dr. Paul Meirick, an orthopedic specialist with CentraCare. “The benefits to the patients include same-day clinic visits with an orthopedic provider, without the wait times or expense of the emergency department.”
Along with increasing convenience, the expansion will help lower the number of patients seeking care in emergency rooms.
The urgent care and walk-in services are designed for injuries and conditions requiring a timely evaluation but that aren’t life-threatening. Patients can seek treatment for broken bones, ligament or tendon injuries, sports injuries, sprains or strains, and joint injuries accompanied by a “pop” sound or sensation.
