(KNSI) – Drivers in St. Cloud should expect delays along Veterans Drive/8th Street North starting Tuesday morning, as orange cones will mark temporary lane restrictions for scheduled utility maintenance work.
The closures will affect traffic between 27th Avenue North and 29th Avenue North from Tuesday, August 5th, through Thursday, August 7th, weather permitting. During the three-day timeline, traffic will be reduced to just one lane in each direction, with crews maintaining head-to-head traffic on the inner lanes.
People who need to navigate the area should allow extra time for their trips, consider alternate routes when possible, exercise patience and caution in the construction zone, and follow all posted signs.
The utility work is weather-dependent and could be postponed if conditions are unfavorable.
Normal traffic patterns are expected to resume on Friday morning.
