(KNSI) — For anyone who has seen a Dairy Queen Blizzard Treat flipped upside down, they might consider it a minor miracle that the sweet treat inside doesn’t come tumbling out. For one day a year, Blizzard sales help fund real miracles.
The 2025 edition of Miracle Treat Day is on Thursday, July 31st. Participating DQ locations will earmark at least $1 to Gillette Children’s Hospital whenever someone orders the delicious mix of candy toppings and soft-serve ice cream.
Locally, those locations are in Becker, Clearwater, Cold Spring, Monticello, and the DQs on 25th Avenue South and Highway 10 in St. Cloud.
The St. Paul facility first opened in 1897. Gillette specializes in treating kids with physical disabilities. It collaborates with primary care physicians from across the state on consultations. If needed, Gillette is a leader in pediatric surgeries, particularly related to brain, bone, and movement conditions.
DQ and the Children’s Miracle Network have had a partnership since 1984. The first Miracle Treat Day was held in 2006.
