(KNSI) — The Benton County Fair rolls into midweek and into full swing with a jam packed day on Wednesday.
Main buildings, including the Discovery center, Ag Craft exhibits, Sports Arena, and Heritage building, swung open their doors. There are pony rides right in front of the barns, running until 9:00 p.m. For those looking to learn something new, Ag in the Classroom sessions are being held at the FFA Barnyard.
History buffs won’t want to miss Doug Ohman’s presentations, happening three times throughout the day in the Heritage Building. Ohman is known for bringing local history to life with his storytelling.
Midway fans can grab wristbands for unlimited rides from noon to 5:00 p.m., then it switches to regular pricing from 5:00 p.m. until closing at 11:00 p.m.
Also this afternoon, Charlie Roth takes the Cottonwood Stage from noon to 2:30, followed by the rock band Barbed Wire from 3:00 to 5:00.
The Sauk Rapids Lions are running Bingo from 5:00 to 11:00 in their dedicated building.
As evening rolls around, Benjamin Raye & The Empire Players take over the Cottonwood Stage from 6:30 to 9:30. Over at the Beer Garden Stage, the band Pandemic cranks up the volume at 8:00. The Beer Garden will be buzzing until 11:00 tonight.
The 4H Livestock Auction starts at 7:00 p.m.
The Demolition Derby starts at 7:30 in the Grandstand.
Thursday, there’s livestock demos, a tractor driving contest, kids’ activities, and the truck pull.
