Veterans Drive Down to Two Lanes At 28th Avenue North for Emergency Utility Repair

(KNSI) – An emergency utility repair is reducing Veterans Drive in St. Cloud to one lane in each direction for two blocks.

The City Engineer’s Office is warning drivers about an issue between 28th and 30th Avenues. Right now, traffic is head-to-head, and crews are on-site using flag control to ensure everything is running as smoothly as possible. Officials say it could shift at times between whether the inner or outer lanes are open.

Since the repair is an emergency, there is no timeline for when the work will be finished. Officials believe that it will stretch to at least the end of the day on Thursday.

The area has been the site of utility work for most of the summer.
