(KNSI) – The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 1:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Forecasters say damaging winds are the biggest threat, potentially exceeding 75 miles per hour with the strongest storms, and even mentioning a possible derecho, which is a widespread, long-lived storm system characterized by straight-line winds. Tornadoes and hail are also possible, especially in western Minnesota.
