Police and Firefighters Casting a Line Friday at Lake George

(KNSI) – Kids from across St. Cloud are encouraged to come along with the police and fire departments for a shoreline stakeout on Friday morning.

The Lake George Fishing Club is hosting a Badges and Bobbers event from 9:00 to 11:00. Children will have the opportunity to meet local law enforcement and public safety officials. It’s an event that will need no exaggeration when the fish tales are passed along in the years to come.

In addition to building connections between heroes and the community they serve, there will be plenty of chances to do some fishing. Although no registration is required, there is a limited amount of gear and bait to go around. Anyone who has their own rod and reel is encouraged to bring it.

There are opportunities to cast right from the inner walking trail. Organizers are promising it will be a “reel-y” great time.
