(KNSI) – The Granite City Motor Park is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of thieves who stole tools from racers Sunday evening.
Three Milwaukee impact wrenches, two 1/2″ and one 3/8″, were taken from trailers in the same pit row south of the tech shed at the Sauk Rapids area track.
Track officials say they have identified at least one suspect using footage from their 32 security cameras, which monitor the main gate, all buildings, victory lane, light poles, and pit areas. They are seeking public assistance to get a name.
The video evidence will be forwarded to the Benton County Attorney’s Office for prosecution. Track organizers emphasized their zero-tolerance policy for theft, stating, “We don’t and won’t tolerate sticky fingers.”
