(KNSI) — Blame it on the rain. The Steve Miller Band, citing extreme weather, is canceling its tour, including the August 28th stop at the Minnesota State Fair.

In a statement, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer said, “The combination of extreme heat, unpredictable flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes and massive forest fires make these risks for you our audience, the band and the crew unacceptable. You can blame it on the weather. The tour is cancelled.”

The fair, which was notified of the cancellation on Wednesday evening, says it will book another show for August 28th, “but at this time, no additional information is available.”

Ticket sales have been suspended, and refunds will be issued.
