(KNSI) – The Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota summer benefit is promising 1.21 gigawatts of timeless fun this year.
“Back to Our Future” is stepping on the gas August 7th until the Delorean is traveling at 88 miles an hour. The event runs from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the River’s Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud.
The entertainment time hops between decades much like the beloved science fiction film its theme is based on. There will be a strolling buffet, drink sampling, music from the ’50s and ’80s, and a silent auction. Guests are invited to dress up to match, whether that’s big hair and neon or poodle skirts.
Vice President of Donor Engagement and Communications Aimee Minnerath says, “Where we’re going we don’t need roads, just your support to build great futures!”
Tickets are $100 for a person or $150 per couple. All money collected supports programming for more than 5,000 teens. Fundraising is getting a boost from Stearns Bank. The company is matching the first $15,000 to ensure organizers reach their $40,000 goal. It’ll make the impact from a donation sharper than Biff’s flat top.
