(KNSI) – The Clay County Attorney’s Office has issued a nationwide arrest warrant for a 17-year-old suspect in a murder case from last month.

The teen is wanted on four felony counts, including 1st degree murder and assault with intent to do bodily harm. A drive-by shooting on June 19th along 12th Street South in Moorhead left one person seriously injured. They were just discharged from a Fargo hospital. Minnesota law allows for someone to be charged with murder even if they are not successful.

Authorities have been looking for the vehicle connected to the incident in the weeks since. It is a white Chrysler 300 with Minnesota plates and number EJJ379. A photo shows it had a decal with red lettering across the top of the rear window.

Investigators say they have not recovered the gun used in the shooting, and the public may remain at risk until the suspect is arrested. If anyone has information that could help track down the vehicle or the suspect, they should call Moorhead Police at 218-299-5120 or the Red River Regional Dispatch Center at 701-451-7660 and ask for a Moorhead Police supervisor.
