(KNSI) – Wednesday’s Summertime by George Concert has been canceled due to persistent rain.
The ongoing rainfall has saturated the soil at Lake George/Eastman Park, making it impossible to hold the event without damaging the park and putting equipment at risk. The decision was made with safety and comfort in mind for both performers and attendees.
Tonight’s lineup was set to feature Mel & Glen, a high-energy acoustic duo, followed by a highly anticipated sendup of Elvis Presley from Anthony Shore.
Organizers are evaluating whether a makeup date will be scheduled. The next regularly scheduled concert is set for Wednesday, July 9th.
Summertime by George is a free concert series and festival by the Rotary Club of St. Cloud at Lake George/Eastman Park. The area is transformed every Wednesday with free live music from local and regional bands, area vendors, artisans, and a kid’s zone for the entire family to enjoy.
