(KNSI) – One of the first American Idol winners is part of the 2025-26 Paramount Center for the Arts schedule.

Released on Monday, it was revealed the opening show in September will be a tribute to the one and only Dean Martin put on by the singer Mick Sterling and the 16-piece The Amore’ Orchestra. September will also have a tribute act for Earth, Wind, and Fire titled “Urban Classic.” On the 19th, one of the most influential reality shows of all time crashes central Minnesota. Ruben Studdard won Idol in its second season. He has been compared to Luther Vandross by fans and frequently dabbles in R&B, gospel, and pop music.

TEDx will return to the Paramount in October, followed by the first GREAT Theatre production of the season running from the 17th to November 2nd. “9 to 5” originally featured Dolly Parton, Lilly Tomlin, and Jane Fonda, and the comedy is considered a feminist rallying cry.

The man who helped put the twang back in Nashville will grace St. Cloud in November. Randy Travis was one of the leaders of the neo-traditional sound that swept through Music City in the late ’80s. Thanksgiving will be dominated by the GREAT Theatre version of “Annie.”

Christmas dominates December with favorites like the Rock n Roll Xmas Spectacular returning. Late December sees a performance from Tonic Sol-Fa, a long-running a cappella group that formed while at St. John’s University. Deuces Wild Dueling Pianos ring in the new year.

Highlights in 2026 include the always popular Folsom Prison Experience, channeling Johnny Cash, and Michael Shynes. In late January and early February, GREAT Theatre goes back to class with “School of Rock.”
