(KNSI) – Another prescribed burn occurred at Quarry Park in Waite Park this afternoon.
Stearns County officials say it only applied to the Scientific and Natural Area on the south end of the property, away from the popular rock quarries and trails. The SNA had been closed during the burn, but is now reopen.
The last burn scheduled at the park was on Friday, May 5th. It took place in the prairie zones and shut down the entire venue for several hours.
