(KNSI) – A special ceremony honoring the service and sacrifice of law enforcement and their four-legged partners will take center stage at the Minnesota Quilt Show in downtown St. Cloud.

The Presentation of the K9 Quilt of Honor will take place Friday, June 20th, at noon at the River’s Edge Convention Center, paying tribute to Stearns County Deputy Adam Johnson and his K9 partner, Jax. The two started serving together in 2016. The public is invited to the ceremony to celebrate the unique bond between officers and canines and their dedicated service to the community.

The Quilt of Honor represents the heart of the quilting community’s tradition of service. Local quilters have handcrafted the tribute to create a lasting symbol of appreciation for those who serve and protect. The presentation ceremony will recognize not just the individual service of Deputy Johnson and Jax but the broader commitment of law enforcement K9 teams who work tirelessly to keep communities safe.

“The addition of the K9 Quilt of Honor presentation brings an emotional and powerful layer of community connection to this already inspiring event,” said Rachel Thompson, Executive Director of Visit Greater St. Cloud.

The ceremony is part of the 2025 Minnesota Quilt Show, which runs through Saturday, June 21st, at the River’s Edge Convention Center.
