(KNSI) – Foley Fun Days has a loaded lineup on Saturday from sunup to sundown.
Organizer Juanita Beauchamp runs down the highlights. “Tomorrow, we have the kids’ bicycle safety rodeo, and then also the FFA Tractor Drive is going on tomorrow. And then at the Stone Creek Golf Course, there’s the car show, and I think their craft sale is also going on. And then later in the evening, with the Foley Ambassador coronation.”
Beauchamp expects a full coronation field. “There’s 10 littles, and then there’s four participating for junior ambassadors.” The winners will be busy for the rest of the festival. They’ll be reading at the Foley Library on Tuesday afternoon, playing bingo on Wednesday, and then featured in the Grande Parade later that evening.
A big difference from past festivals is that the medallion hunt will start on Saturday. Beauchamp hopes to spur participation by including the weekend crowd. The first clue will be dropped at Brenny’s at 7:30 a.m. and once per day until the token is discovered. Fun Days mostly rests on Sunday, expect for the Sons of the American Legion. They’ll be fixing up scrumptious omelets from scratch between 8:00 a.m. and noon.
