(KNSI) – Thursday is another full day of events during Waite Park Family Fun Fest, allowing areas outside of Community Park to get in on the action.

City-wide garage sales, a book sale from the Waite Park Friends of the Library club, and a plant sale at the warming house in Rivers Edge Park begin at 8:00 a.m.

The library will transition to an art program at 4:00 p.m., where young people collectively create a piece together. The Grand Day Parade steps off from the library at 6:30, following 5th Avenue to 1st Street North. Marchers will turn right on 1st Street and head down to 13th Avenue, ending at the Community Park.

The parade acts as a bridge between the day’s sessions. Festival committee member Roxanne Ryan Layne talks about what is slated for later. “After the parade, there’s Music in the Park by Pandemic. Everything wraps up then about 10:00. There’s food vendors, a beer garden, and Music in the Park.”

Pandemic is reaching new heights as a band. They were the initial headliner for Rock the Riverside in Sauk Rapids last week. At Monday’s council meeting, Sauk Rapids Mayor Jason Ellering shared that the concert series saw its best-ever Week One attendance with Pandemic on stage.

Expect the Waite Park Family Fun Fest to provide another big stage for the group.
