(KNSI) – The honor of leading the 2025 Granite City Days Parade is going to the Rotary Club of St. Cloud.
On Friday, Mayor Jake Anderson announced group will serve as Grand Marshal, marking a milestone moment for the 125-member organization that has been weaving itself into the fabric of the community since 1925.
Anderson bestowed the title on the group for their work in helping to raise $21 million to redevelop Eastman Park around the shores of Lake George. That investment sparked Summertime by George, a free Wednesday night concert series that draws thousands of music lovers to the park each summer.
Recognizing the need for stronger community-police connections, the club championed the Richard C. Wilson Community Outpost, or COP House, which has become a cornerstone of neighborhood engagement. They’ve also committed $200,000 over the next three years to establish two additional outposts across the city.
The Coborn’s Granite City Days Parade marches through town on Saturday, June 28th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
