(KNSI) — Don’t make small broken items history. Bring them to the Stearns History Museum’s free Fix-It Clinic on Friday, June 6th.

Residents have a chance to extend the life of household items thanks to skilled professionals who will be volunteering their time and talent to repair small carry in objects such as electronics, appliances, clothing, and toys.

The event is at the Paramount Center for the Arts technical site from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance registration required. Organizers say to come early in that three hour window for a better chance at getting help. Each household may bring up to two things for repair. Organizers will stop accepting items at 6:30 to make sure there’s enough time to fix everything.

The Stearns History Museum is co-hosting the event with Reuse Minnesota, an organization dedicated to promoting waste reduction through reuse and repair initiatives, which aims to reduce waste while helping residents save money on replacement costs.

The technical site is at 248 33rd Avenue South, Waite Park.
