Highway Department Holding Public Hearing on Five-Year Road Plan

(KNSI) – The Stearns County Highway Department is holding a review of its Five-Year Road Improvement Program next week at the public works building in Waite Park.

Scheduled for Tuesday, the 27th, at 7:00 p.m., residents are invited to give input on proposed changes and additions to the work schedule through 2030. The document will be available online earlier that day for people to check out.

The plan was last approved on June 18th, 2024. It covers roughly 199 miles of road, including resurfacing and complete reconstructions. The total project cost was estimated to be over $142 million.
