(KNSI) – Two semi trucks collided Tuesday morning on Interstate 94 near Monticello.
The accident happened just southeast of the city at mile marker 196. The Volvo and Freightliner both went into the north ditch after the accident and jackknifed when they slid into the embankment.
The Volvo was driven by a 58-year-old from Chicago, Illinois. The Freightliner was steered by a 47-year-old from Eden Prairie. They both suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to CentraCare Hospital for treatment.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the incident happened at 11:11 a.m. and affected the eastbound lanes.
