(KNSI) – Wednesday is Minnesota day, don’t cha’ know? St. Cloud Area Restaurant Week hits the midway point with a nod to the culinary classics of the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
Visit Greater St. Cloud Executive Director Rachel Thompson says freshwater fish are quite the catch in these parts. “Legends Bar and Grill has their legendary walleye fish and chips, and then we also have the Green Mill Lodge walleye.”
Arroy Thai and Filipino is highlighting its spam fried rice. Don’t knock the Minnesota institution until you try it. A theme focusing on the cuisine beloved in this state is incomplete without a little Minnesota sushi. Thompson knows exactly where to find it, plus some pizza pie.
“House of Pizza has a Minnesota hot pickle pizza, and it’s garlic white sauce, Canadian bacon, pickles, mozzarella and then drizzled with a hot sauce. [A] pickle pizza and pickle roll up mash up within that one.”
And don’t miss the Chipotle ranch Italian panini caramel crisp sub from Central Grind Coffee House. All restaurant week features are regular menu items, so there’s no need to say “uffda” for those who miss out Wednesday.
