St. Cloud VA Needs Memorial Day Volunteers

(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Area Metropolitan Veterans Council is making the call for volunteers to help put on its annual Memorial Day program.

They will observe the holiday on Monday, May 26th, proper, with a ceremony in the VA Medical Center Building 96 parking lot. The free event is planned for 11:00 a.m. The St. Cloud Municipal Band will provide entertainment. The public is encouraged to attend.

Organizers need some help, though. They’re looking for people who can escort the veterans to the program and spend the morning with them, hearing their stories and making connections. Register with the Center for Development and Civic Engagement at 320-255-6365 to volunteer.

Visitors should use Building 116 and other adjacent lots to park.
