(KNSI) – An initiative in St. Cloud is holding a second session for student entrepreneurs, offering expert help to transform their business concepts into a viable venture.
The Scouting Entrepreneur in Business Career Exploring Post will meet June 9th through the 13th for 14 to 20-year-olds. Director Sarah Dean told KNSI News it’s an immersive program. “It’s their opportunity to get some hands-on experience. And, they get to go in with area professionals and learn about different components of starting a business.”
Students will tour several companies and be able to pick the owners’ and managers’ brains on being in business. Dean says they’re looking to build on 2024’s success. “Last year, we had 10 students participate. We had a student interested in starting their own barbershop last year, and we had a student who wants to get into car detailing.”
According to the SEBCE, the curriculum includes participating in mock interviewing, problem-solving challenges, and networking.
