(KNSI) – The group behind building an attraction around a mock spaceship in St. Cloud has formed a nonprofit to help it land a piece of property.

Inspiration Space Port started last year after St. Cloud Inventor Felicity-John Pederson had the replica shuttle moved from Florida to St. Cloud with plans to use it as part of a museum. The 25-ton mock-up is now control of the 501c3 ISP.EARTH.

ISP Board Member Jason Bernick says in a press release that the group must secure a permanent site before assembly and restoration can start. He says the site selection process is advancing nd an announcement will be made when a property deal is secured.

Where the shuttle stays permanently remains up in the air. For now, it’s being stored at Landwehr Construction in St. Cloud.
