(KNSI) – The Wright County Sheriff’s Office says it is on the scene of a standoff in Montrose.
What started as the execution of a search warrant at a unit inside an apartment complex turned into a barricaded subject situation.
According to a press release, around 5:30 Thursday morning, authorities were in the middle of searching the home, the person barricaded themselves inside, reportedly followed by a single gunshot.
The apartment building was safely evacuated, and a shelter-in-place order was given for surrounding properties.
