Downtown St. Cloud Gets a Bright Green Boost as Block by Block Ambassadors Program Kicks off May 27th

(KNSI) — Walking around downtown St. Cloud will hopefully have a new vibe as the St. Cloud Downtown Alliance unveiled its Block by Block Ambassadors Program on Tuesday.

Starting May 27th, residents and visitors can expect to see very visible ambassadors clad in bright green attire to symbolize new energy and momentum in the downtown area. They will be on duty Mondays through Saturdays, covering a designated service area, cleaning sidewalks and streets, offering directions and information, connecting with local businesses and residents, and promoting a safe and welcoming environment.

Rachel Lolmasteymaugh, Executive Director of the Downtown Alliance, says the program is “about more than maintenance or litter – it’s about presence. The ambassadors will offer helping hands, friendly faces, and a renewed sense of care and connection in our downtown.”

As part of the rollout, Block by Block will soon hire an operations manager who will lead efforts to connect with downtown businesses and stakeholders. The team will also be making rounds in the coming weeks to introduce themselves and start building relationships.
