(KNSI) – Most central Minnesota schools beat the curve in terms of graduation rate.

The state saw overall improvement with 84.2% of seniors earning their cap and gown at the end of the 2023-2024 school year. The 59,720 kids getting their diplomas was a record. Improvements were seen in every demographic.

The St. Cloud Area School District followed the statewide trends by increasing its graduation rate by 1.9%, bringing it to 66.1% overall. Apollo High School’s rate is 74.1%, Tech’s is 77.2%, and the St. Cloud Alternative Learning Center is 38.6%. District 742 had a total of 537 kids become alumni.

The Sartell-St. Stephen School District led all area districts with 333 students, or 97.1%, walking across the stage. That was a slight decrease from the 98% who graduated the year before. Sauk Rapids-Rice saw a 2% jump in its graduation rate and now stands at 89%, with 309 kids getting a diploma.

Other graduation rates from area schools include:

Albany 95.2% – 100 kids up from 94.3%
Becker 92.6% – 199 kids up from 91.7%
Foley 87.3% – 137 kids down from 94%
Holdingford 96% – 72 kids up from 93.5%
Kimball 96.8% – 60 kids down from 97%
ROCORI 85.7% – 215 kids down from 87%
