(KNSI) — Sartell Police are planning to have a ball during a special event Wednesday afternoon that ties into Walk, Bike, and Roll to School Week.

All the fun is free and includes raffle drawings for great prizes. There will be a bounce house and obstacle course set up, plus an opportunity for kids to get their bike education passport, a refresher on the mandatory training that takes place at the beginning of the school year. There is also the chance to get properly fitted for a helmet.

Public safety gets in on the excitement by bringing a fire truck for children to examine up close and personal. The grill will be going, and hot dogs will be provided.

The event is scheduled from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Lions Park. If it draws a crowd, overflow parking is available nearby at Sartell City Hall.
