Valleyfair Kicks Off Season on Mother’s Day

(KNSI) – Make mom feel like a “High Roller,” or maybe a “Renegade,” as she tames the “Wild Thing” when Valleyfair opens on her special day.

Season pass holders get the first look at new features with an exclusive preview day on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Opening Day for the public is slated for Sunday.

The amusement park’s Mother’s Day kickoff marks a yearly milestone for Minnesotans seeking thrills on the “Tower of Power” or on a trip down “Thunder Canyon.” The park features 75 attractions, including some of the Midwest’s favorite rides like the “Corkscrew,” “Steel Venom,” and “Excalibur.” Soak City Waterpark will open on Memorial Weekend.

The park’s Juicy Lucy Festival, new in 2025, will celebrate the Minnesota cheese-stuffed burger on July 12th and 13th and again on July 19th and 20th. The event will include an imaginative lineup of Juicy Lucys, dozens of local brews, ciders, cocktails, and live music.

Valley Fair also brings back classic-themed weekends such as Military Days, Star-Spangled Night, Latin Days, Corn Fest, Tricks and Treats, and ValleyScare.
