(KNSI) – The Stearns County Fair Association is getting some help to cool off one of its signature buildings.
The Sauk Centre fairgrounds have been awarded up to $4,000 to install fans in the Heritage Barn. The fair opens at the end of July and attracts between 30,000 and 35,000 visitors annually. With the crowds of people and the animals, it is bound to get stuffy in the summer heat.
The money comes from Compeer Financial’s Fund for Rural America. In Minnesota, 20 fair organizations received up to $4,000 to support their fairground projects.
