(KNSI) – A Community Workshop is scheduled for May 7th to springboard efforts to reimagine downtown St. Cloud.
The historic business district will be the primary focus of the city’s new Comprehensive Plan. The document will help staff encourage development and direct investment to revitalize its core and help it thrive again. This is the first Comprehensive Plan since 2015, and the process provides a good opportunity to compare results to what was envisioned the last time around, while also moving on to the future.
The workshop is scheduled from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. No registration is required, and refreshments will be provided.
In addition to attending the series of workshops in person, there are other ways to contribute to the Comprehensive Plan. Click here to take the online survey, and there is a mapping tool where someone can leave notes or ideas tagged to a specific property or block of the downtown.
The Comprehensive Plan is being spearheaded by Community Development Director Matt Glaesman and the city’s Planning and Zoning office.
