(KNSI) — A St. Cloud Tech High School science teacher may have just missed being named top of her class, but still earned an A+ in District 742.

Angela Haus is out of the running in the 2025 America’s Favorite Teacher competition after finishing fourth place in the quarterfinals. Haus survived for six weeks in the competition, which started in early March. If she won, first place came with a $25,000 prize, a feature in Reader’s Digest, a trip to Hawaii, and a school assembly with Bill Nye, the Science Guy.

Haus told KNSI News via email, “I never thought I could make it this far. My community of voters includes past and present students and families, friends, family and strangers. It has been amazing to be a part of it.”

Haus has been a teacher for 26 years and loves being every child’s “School Mom” if needed.
