(KNSI) – The Minnesota National Guard will host the Best Warrior Competition at Camp Ripley on Friday, featuring soldiers and airmen from the U.S. military, along with two NATO partner nations.
With service members from Canada and Croatia included, officials are expecting top-caliber performances that won’t soon be forgotten. Command Chief Master Sergeant Lisa Erikson says, “The international element of this event leaves a lasting impact on our service members and organization as it encourages interoperability, friendship and partnership with every challenge.”
The 25 competitors will face a redesigned set of events, 18 in total, that will require them to cross more than 30 miles. Command Sergeant Major Jason Rost boasts, “These competitors are the ideal representation of the finest junior enlisted and noncommissioned officers the Minnesota National Guard has to offer.”
The competition is tailored to challenge each competitor’s capabilities, discipline, and warrior ethos.
