(KNSI) — Another legendary pair of acts is coming to the Ledge Amphitheater in Waite Park this summer.
Kansas and Jefferson Starship will rock the house on September 19th.
Formed in Topeka in 1973, Kansas has amassed nine gold albums, three multi-platinum albums, one platinum studio album, and one double platinum live album, plus the million selling single “Dust in the Wind.”
Jefferson Starship was formed in California in 1974 and was made up of former members of Jefferson Airplane. They released eight gold or platinum-selling studio albums and one gold-selling compilation. The double platinum album Red Octopus also went to number one in 1975. Following Paul Kantner’s death in 2016, the band received the approval of both Kantner’s family and Grace Slick to keep performing.
Tickets go on a venue only presale Wednesday, April 23rd, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 24th, with the code LEDGEKANSAS. The general public on sale is at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 25th. All tickets can be bought through Ticketmaster or at the Ledge Summer Box Office at 1700 Parkway Drive.
