(KNSI) – The deadline for a St. Cloud Tech High School science teacher to make the grade in the 2025 America’s Favorite Teacher competition is on the horizon.
Angela Haus is in the running to win $25,000, a feature in Reader’s Digest, a trip to Hawaii, and a school assembly with Bill Nye the Science Guy.
She has three rounds left and needs the public’s help to advance out of the quarterfinals. She has been in third place for the last week and must be in first place by 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 17th.
Haus told KNSI News via email, “I never thought I could make it this far. My community of voters includes past and present students and families, friends, family and strangers. It has been amazing to be a part of it.”
Each person can cast a free vote every 24 hours, but additional votes can be purchased as a fundraiser for the Planetary Society. Two-for-one voting days appear regularly, where each vote counts double.
