(KNSI) – A three-day crime spree has left several downtown Dassel businesses damaged.
The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office says in a press release that it received a dozen calls for break-ins, property damage, and burglaries between the 12th and 14th. Doors and windows were shattered or bent as suspicious people tried to get inside. They were seen walking throughout the commercial district this weekend. A vehicle was also vandalized on the south end of town, which may be connected.
Meeker County Sheriff Brian Cruze says his staff is still gathering evidence and reviewing surveillance video. He is asking for the public’s help. Anyone with information should call 320-693-5400, or tips can be left anonymously using the tip line at 320-693-5411.
