(KNSI) – The Waite Park Police Department is providing new details on a potential murder-suicide that occurred on the 200 block of 10th Avenue North Saturday afternoon.
Several agencies responded at about 2:00 after gunshots were reported inside a home. When they arrived, two children had come out of the house unharmed, but two adults were found dead inside. Chief Anthony Reznicek says no shots were fired by any of the officers.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension’s forensic team is helping with the crime scene investigation. The identities of the victims will be released at a later time and there is no threat to the public.
Waite Park Police were assisted by the Cold Spring, St. Joseph, St. Cloud, and Sartell Police Departments, along with the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota State Patrol. Mayo Ambulance and the BCA also responded.
