(KNSI) – Sauk Rapids is opening up its compost site next Wednesday.
In the meantime, the hours will be limited to Mondays from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesdays between noon and 7:00 p.m., and Saturdays starting at 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The city is installing an electronic gate that will replace the attendant later this year.
It will allow for additional hours in the future. After installation, the compost site will be available seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The facility is available for residents and non-residents, but there is a price difference. Those who live in Sauk Rapids get access for the year for $40 versus $70 for everyone else.
