(KNSI) – The Sartell Police Department is honoring three of its own for keeping the community safe.

According to the department’s Facebook page, Officer Jordan Miller (top) was named the 2024 Police Officer of the Year. He was recognized for his unwavering positive attitude, exceptional work ethic, and outstanding leadership among his peers.
Sergeant John Lester (right) received the department’s leadership award. He was selected for his return to the patrol division, where he instilled a renewed sense of duty and boosted morale among the staff while also serving as one of the most active mentors to young officers.
Sergeant Jarod Cooper received the Meritorious Service Award for his management of multiple initiatives, the comprehensive overhaul of the entire policy manual, and the successful resolution of several high-profile cases, all while working with a reduced staff.
