(KNSI) – A Rice man was rushed by helicopter to a hospital after crashing an ATV on the Soo Line Trail in Morrison County.
The sheriff’s office says, around 8:30 on Saturday night, Lloyd Orth was about a mile southwest of Pierz when he lost control. The accident caused the ATV to land awkwardly and roll on top of the 59-year-old man, and North Air Care took him to CentraCare-St. Cloud Hospital with serious injuries.
Deputies say Orth was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
