(KNSI) – The Local Education & Activities Foundation helped boost dozens of programs for kids in the St. Cloud Area School District.

During the fall and spring, the LEAF 742 Education Foundation awarded $78,500 through 53 grants to academic and extracurricular activities within the school district. A few funding highlights are the fiber center for the art room at Kennedy Community School, supplies for the yearbook club at South Jr. High, and a “Power Tower” for the swim team at Apollo High School.

“We are deeply committed to providing resources that help foster access and opportunity in our schools,” said LEAF 742 Executive Director Natalie Copeland.

According to its website, the organization has provided over $3 million to support District 742’s education and activities over the last 30 years. Learn more about the foundation by clicking here.
