(KNSI) – A St. Cloud Tech science instructor finished just short of advancing to the next round of America’s Favorite Teacher competition, but she’s not out of the race yet.
District 742 officials say Angela Haus narrowly missed first place but is in the wildcard round. She can still win by getting votes between now and Sunday at 9:00 p.m. People can vote once a day for free or donate to place multiple votes.
According to her biography, Ms. Haus has been a teacher for 26 years and loves being a “school mom” to students.
America’s Favorite Teacher wins $25,000, a feature in Reader’s Digest, a trip to Hawaii, and a school assembly with Bill Nye the Science Guy.
If Haus won, she says she would use it to help put her two kids through college and would also like to treat her students to a fun activity or field trip that relates to science.
