(KNSI)—St. Cloud State University has confirmed to KNSI News that it has international students on campus whose visas were recently terminated by United States Customs and Immigration Services.
Officials with the school say they are directly involved in negotiations to support the affected students and resolve the issues positively. Due to student privacy regulations, individual cases are confidential. SCSU lists about 1,700 international students on campus, with fewer than 10 affected.
Several Minnesota universities, including the University of Minnesota—Twin Cities campus and Minnesota State University in Mankato, have reported similar issues in the past week.
Students whose visas have been revoked are expected to self-deport within 60 days.
