(KNSI) — A new website is being launched as a secure platform for whistleblowers to confidentially report suspected fraud within state government.
Rep. Kristin Robbins (R-Maple Grove), Chair of the House Fraud Prevention and State Agency Oversight Committee, announced that MNFraud.com is up and running. “Minnesotans expect their government to be well-run and want to ensure their tax dollars are used to provide services to people in need. MNFraud.com gives state employees, service providers, recipients and the public a convenient, secure way to report suspected fraud.”
The website is specifically designed to gather tips from those with firsthand knowledge of waste, fraud, or abuse within state agencies or publicly funded programs. All submissions will be reviewed by the House Fraud Prevention and State Agency Oversight Committee, and the site employs strong security measures to protect the identities of whistleblowers-similar to secure payment processing systems.
“This tool will enable Minnesotans to help us hold government accountable and protect the integrity of programs meant to serve Minnesotans in need,” Robbins added.
