(KNSI) – A Morrison County Sheriff’s deputy turned a traffic stop into a drug bust in Randall on Monday night.
The incident happened just after 7:30 near the intersection of Highway 10 and Highway 115. The stop was initially made due to vehicle equipment violations. Inside were a 39-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man from Le Sueur. While talking to them, the deputy became suspicious of drug activity.
He brought his K9 partner over to investigate, uncovering 92 grams of methamphetamine and oxycodone pills. Sheriff Shawn Larsen calls the department’s K9 officers indispensable in getting drugs off the streets.
The two suspects are being held in the Morrison County Jail while they await formal charges. It is KNSI News policy not to name them until that happens.
