Free Flag Exchange at Scheels in St. Cloud to Honor Veterans and Support Folds of Honor

(KNSI) – Central Minnesotans looking to swap their stars and stripes can do so for free.

Scheels at the Crossroads Center mall is holding a Folds of Honor Flag Exchange on May 22nd, right before Memorial Day Weekend. Between 4:00 and 8:00 p.m., people can bring in their faded or frayed American flag and will be given a new one for free as a token of gratitude for their patriotism.

In partnership with Folds of Honor, the St. Cloud Scheels store will also donate $25 for every flag exchanged to support scholarships for the families of fallen and disabled service members. Organizers say the special event is dedicated to honoring Old Glory and making sure it always flies proudly.
