(KNSI) — The Minnesota Broadcasters Association announced the list of its 2025 Hall of Fame Inductees, and a Leighton Media family member is among them.
Brett Paradis of Leighton Media’s Alexandria market is a Redwood Falls, Minnesota native who spent his first five years in radio working with his dad at his hometown station of KLGR. Paradis and his wife moved to Mason City, Iowa, after that, where he spent five years at KLSS. In 1988, it was back to Minnesota, this time in Alexandria, where Paradis had the opportunity to buy three radio stations, which he successfully ran as the Voice of Alexandria. In 2020, the family sold them and became part of the Leighton Media family, where Paradis remains in a corporate advisor/consulting role.
A true believer in the power of radio, Paradis says, “radio stations have a very special part to play in the life of a community! We are in a position to build up and enhance the community by truly serving the people who live here. We are involved in almost all aspects of the community, from covering the news and weather to high school sports, to city and county businesses, and we are able to serve and volunteer on various committees. I truly believe that we are here to make our community an even-better place to live.”
The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, September 30th, in Stillwater.
