(KNSI) – District 742 continues to pound the pavement to pitch residents on the need for security and classroom upgrades at St. Cloud Apollo, along with a new indoor athletic facility.

The referendum is less than a month away now, scheduled for April 8th. There will be a flurry of public events in the meantime, including two this weekend. On Friday, Superintendent Dr. Laurie Putnam will hold a Coffee and Conversations session at the District Administration Office in Waite Park beginning at 9:00 a.m. The following morning at 10:00, voters are invited to tour the high school to see for themselves what changes are needed at the 50-year-old building.

Two other events are planned for later in March. A public presentation will be held at the Whitney Senior Center on March 24th. Informational sessions are slated for March 29th at the St. Cloud branch of the Great River Regional Library. There will be an English, Somali, and Spanish version to reach the most people possible.
