(KNSI) — Staff at Grand Champion Meats in Foley were evacuated for a time Tuesday morning following a bomb threat.
According to Foley Police Chief Katie McMillin, just before 8:00, staff got a call from someone saying the business needed to fire a worker, otherwise the caller was going to blow up the building. All of the workers evacuated the building and contacted police. Officers and deputies from the Benton County Sheriff’s Department responded and set up a perimeter. They went to work evaluating the threat and clearing the building.
McMillin says nothing suspicious was found. The threat remains under investigation.
